What You'll See

The general release, demonstrated live in Oracle Enterprise Manager against a working MySQL environment.

Query Performance and On-Demand EXPLAIN

Instance health, the top statement digests ranked by latency or execution count, and how statement latency and volume trend over the last day, week, or month. Select a statement and run EXPLAIN from the console: the plan comes back from an Oracle EM job, and the statement is not executed. Wait analysis shows where the server spent its time, by wait class and by event.

Tables, Indexes, and Backups

How storage divides between tables, with index findings for full-scan tables, unused indexes, and redundant indexes. Backup monitoring reads the history that MySQL Enterprise Backup and Percona XtraBackup record in the server, and alerts on backup age and failed backups.

InnoDB Cluster and ClusterSet DR Readiness

Group Replication membership, each member's role and state, and replication queues for every InnoDB Cluster. For an InnoDB ClusterSet, a disaster-recovery promotion readiness verdict with the signals behind it: replica cluster health, channel status, transaction set consistency, and GTID lag.

65 Compliance Rules and Default Thresholds

Sixty-five built-in compliance rules in five standards covering security, administration, replication, performance, and schema, ready to associate with no rule authoring. Default thresholds ship set, so the plug-in raises incidents from day one with no tuning.

MySQL Alerts in Your Existing Workflow

The plug-in publishes MySQL health, performance, replication, and backup status as standard Oracle EM metrics, with editable thresholds, alert history, and notification routing through the incident rules your team already has in place.

Already Monitoring MySQL in Oracle EM?

If the Oracle MySQL plug-in monitors your servers today, we'll show how to run both plug-ins side by side against the same servers, carry your thresholds across, and retire the old targets when you are ready, so you switch over without a gap in monitoring. The migration guide has the steps.
